As a board member, he plans to foster new ways to expand the reach of the organization, which is the oldest and largest epidemiology society in North America.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to increasing the visibility of epidemiologists in a number of ways, including through social media and podcasting,\u201d Fox says. \u201cI\u2019m also very interested in increasing SER\u2019s diversity and inclusivity, and making people feel welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox says SER is unique in its ability to bring together a variety of epidemiologists to focus on the latest developments in the field and discuss important controversies in the field.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt also plays a major role in supporting continuing education and creating a scientific community for epidemiologists to call home,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>SER sponsors the\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aje.oupjournals.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Journal of Epidemiology<\/a><\/em><span><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/span>and\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/epirev.oxfordjournals.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Epidemiologic Reviews<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and conducts an annual meeting that features the John C.
