Fox has won multiple teaching awards for his courses at the School of Public Health, and also regularly teaches advanced epidemiology methods courses abroad, including at the Berlin School of Public Health in Germany, the <a href=\"http:\/\/globalhealth.ku.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Copenhagen School of Public Health<\/a> in Denmark, and the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinding innovative ways to explain challenging material to students is something I care deeply about, and I spend a great deal of time thinking of ways to make my courses better,\u201d Fox says. &#8220;I was extremely honored to receive this award.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Members of the SPH community also led discussions and gave presentations at the ASPPH meeting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/profile\/sandro-galea\/\">Sandro Galea<\/a>, dean and Robert A. Knox Professor, moderated the plenary session \u201cInsights into Washington, Politics, and the 2018 Elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Marie Bonofilio, director of development, presented on alumni affairs. Harold Cox, associate dean for public health practice, presented on critical conversations. Beverly Brown, director of development, industry, presented on corporate relations and fundraising. Kara Peterson, executive director of communications, presented on using video to engage students, raise awareness, and promote institutions; and on creating communications partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>The SPH\u00a0Alumni Reception and Presentations\u00a0were held during the conference on March 6 in Washington, DC.
