Information Session with Brookline Sister City/Quezalguaque Sister City-summer practicum opportunity

The Brookline Massachusetts/Quezalguaque Sister City is recruiting Masters of Public Health Students and medical students for a 6-8 week medical team living and working in an agricultural town in western Nicaragua. Students will work with Brookline Sister City members and other team members in the spring to plan and then implement several health related projects. Students will be oriented for the first week and then work as part of the Quezalguaque team, cooperating with local medical and political authorities and medical students from the University of Leon. Projects will be related to Chronic Kidney Disease, sexual health and cervical cancer. Drs. Moyer and Stringham and Ashley Thomas, a recent MPH graduate who participated in last summer’s program will talk about the project.
