Center for Advancing Health Policy and Practice
Since 1992, the Center for Advancing Health Policy and Practice at Boston University School of Public Health has advanced inclusive care and the well-being of vulnerable populations. CAHPP specializes in research, policy analysis, and technical assistance regarding people living with HIV/AIDS and children and youth with special health care needs. The group partners with consumers, researchers, private and public agencies, academic institutions, community-based organizations, health care providers, and local, state, and federal policy makers. These partnerships enhance CAHPP’s ability to identify gaps in services and systems, and create innovative solutions that improve health care for vulnerable populations.
CAHPP has disseminated more than 200 papers, peer-reviewed articles, manuals, curricula, and other materials to local, state, federal, and internationalaudiences. This work has led to real, lasting change in health care coverage and financing, peer advocacy, policy, and care and service delivery for vulnerable populations. Members of the CAHPP team also serve as evaluators and advisors, helping to ensure the sustainability of programs that provide support and services to these populations.
