SPH This Year Wins Gold In-House Agency Award.

The 2020 issue of SPH This Year, the School of Public Health’s annual year-in-review magazine, took gold at the 2021 In-House Agency (IHAF) Creativity Awards, held virtually November 9-10.
The publication represented a collaboration between BU Creative Services and the SPH communications team. The magazine focused on the year of COVID-19, and highlighted the innovative work that SPH faculty, staff, students, and alums have done to respond to the pandemic—and many other critical issues—to create healthier, equitable conditions that advance racial, social, and economic justice.
Among more than 900 entrants, SPH This Year received a Gold Award in the Annual Report: Printed category. The other award winner in that category was Suffolk Construction Company.
The IHAF Awards recognize creative excellence across in-house agencies across 38 print and digital categories. This year’s conference, called “Resilience to Reinvention,” was about reflecting on the challenges in-house agencies faced over the course of the pandemic, and applying the lessons learned to forge new pathways in the year to come. Winners are determined by a panel of judges drawn from the industry. This year’s panel included 11 judges from Massachusetts Bay Brewing Company, Deloitte, Robert Half, American Express, and more.
The 2021 issue of SPH This Year, which highlights the school community’s central role in shaping public health in the years to come, was recently published in print and online. View previous editions here.
