There are 3 comments on It’s Unethical to Use Dental X-Rays to Send Immigrant Children to Adult Detention Facilities

  1. Crosby is wrong about this being done for “political” reasons; it’s being done for LAW ENFORCEMENT reasons which is different; completely incomparable.

  2. The claim that a health professional should never use their skills on behalf of the government is totally absurd. Which ever party constitutes the current government of a democracy was elected based on their proposed agenda. An election campaign is lfill a maà@₩0andate

  3. I understand the concern of the authors about sending children to adult detention camps. The same applies when adults are wrongly housed with children. Recent studies have shown that it is possible to estimate age of a person at 18-years threshold with various levels of certainty. More population specific standards and advanced statistical methods are available in the literature. When the case is presented in the court, it is the court that takes the decision and the concept of “benefit of the doubt” is followed. The authors should probably provide suggestions on improving the health conditions of adults/children in the detention camps then to link the issue of age estimation with political agenda and criticize a procedure that is backed up by numerous scientific evidence.
