400 Years of Inequality: An Interactive Timeline.
On September 30, the School of Public Health’s Activist Lab unveiled a 400 Years timeline in the Talbot Lobby as part of the 400 Years of Inequality nationwide commemoration.
The timeline follows the history of African Americans, women, Native Americans, and working people, and was composed through the research of students in the 400 Years of Inequality class taught by Mindy Fullilove at the New School in 2017.
The Activist Lab invites all members of the SPH community to engage with the timeline throughout the month of October by adding moments in history that they feel are important to the narrative of inequality in America, such as when one’s family arrived in America; pivotal events in the fields of public health, medicine, and/or civil rights; and political movements and/or laws that impact equity.
