For the Future of Public Health Gala

We are pleased to announce the For the Future of Public Health Gala on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston. Our fall of 2018 theme—Together, We Are Changing the World—will celebrate the research, scholarship, and practice that positions SPH as a global leader in generating new cross-disciplinary knowledge, educating professionals from diverse backgrounds, and translating our research into cutting-edge practice.

The Gala will be co-chaired by Chet Bohac (SPH’07); Sally Deane (SED’71, SPH’88); Elizabeth A. Olek (SPH’02); and Zubeen Shroff (CAS’86). Gala host committee members include Mireille Aramati (SPH’86, MET’87); Vivian Cabral (SPH’97); Chen Cao (CAS’14, SPH’16); Gary A. Cohen (SPH’06); Philip and Nancy Reilly; Sonja Tong (SPH’05); and Kathy Qian (SPH’17). The event will honor Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Planned Parenthood, and Stop Handgun Violence with the school’s Beyond Health Award.

The reception beings at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Upon arriving, guests will check in with their last names and be given their seating assignments. The attire for the evening is business attire

Valet Parking: Valet parking for the evening is $35, please mention you are a guest of the Gala

Public Transportation: If you are taking public transportation, the closest T stop is Copley on the Green Line

All sponsorships and ticket purchases are tax-deductible less the fair market value of the tickets received. Less than $175 per ticket, your contribution is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All sponsors and ticket buyers will receive a tax receipt for your contribution in the mail after the event.
