Graduates are prepared to contribute across multiple sectors and functional areas in a variety of roles:
- Conduct SAS programming, analyze big data, and manage clinical trials databases
- Manage mission-critical projects to improve patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction
- Facilitate behavior change, collaborating successfully with diverse stakeholders
- Design and deliver health education programs
- Create and implement health communications plans
- Develop effective Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) plans
- Conduct Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
- Manage and monitor quality and performance improvement
- Perform Environmental Risk & Exposure Assessments
- Provide cross-culturally competent technical assistance in developing countries
- Advocate to eliminate health inequities in vulnerable populations
- Analyze complex population health studies to inform decisions

Recruiting Timeline for Jobs, Internships and Practicums
Public health graduates complete degree programs in three graduating cycles: January, May, and September. Employers can post positions at any time.
For practicum hiring, the following timeline works particularly well.
- Spring Practicum: Mid-October – January
- Summer Practicum: March – May
- Fall Practicum: August – Early October
