Peace Corps/Master’s International Meeting: Liz Doyle RPCV/Cameroon.

  • Starts: 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016
  • Ends: 5:50 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016
Meeting for those in the MPH program and those interested in Peace Corps. Special guest, Liz Doyle, will share about her Peace Corps service in Cameroon. RPCV Liz Doyle ('13-'15) spent much of her two years in Cameroon following her community, her heart (and her nose) from project to project and adventure to adventure. Working with HCNs from a variety of sectors, Liz helped to design and implement several sustainable development projects . These ranged from training farmers in mushroom cultivation, to heading a district-wide, month long campaign in the fight against malaria, to holding weekly business lessons for one of Cameroon's only cheese makers (paid in dairy). Liz's free time was spent searching for the best beans and grilled fish in Cameroon, drinking warm beer with her neighbors, and exploring all of the nature and wildlife that "Africa in miniature" had to offer.
