BUSRP featured in Environmental Health Perspectives

Several BUSRP researchers and projects were featured in the August issue of Environmental Health Perspectives.

Wendy Heiger-Bernays (RTC) was quoted in the featured article on the detection and mitigation of vapor intrusion, research in collaboration with Brown University Superfund Research Program and University of Kentucky Superfund Research Center. Read the full article.

Jennifer Schlezinger (Project 3) is one of the authors of “Prioritizing Environmental Chemicals for Obesity and Diabetes Outcomes Research: A Screening Approach Using ToxCast™ High-Throughput Data.” Read the full article. 

Susan Korrick (Project 2) contributed to “Relation between in Utero Arsenic Exposure and Birth Outcomes in a Cohort of Mothers and Their Newborns from New Hampshire.” Read the full article.

Finally, A Story Of Health, to which BUSRP contributed, was featured as a new educational tool for health professionals. The first chapters are available for free online. The multimedia e-book is a project of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), the Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE), the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, California Environmental Protection Agency (OEHHA), the Science and Environmental Health Network (SEHN) and the University of California, San Francisco, Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (UCSF PEHSU).
