Not only was Buolamwini\u2019s revelation highlighted, but also her push for the first-ever legislation in the U.S. to govern against bias in algorithms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fast forward to present day, and Kantayya revealed what she believes would be the next step towards algorithmic justice &#8211; an FDA for algorithms, \u201csome way of vetting products before they go to scale, for proving that they\u2019ll do no harm before they\u2019re commercially available,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for what we can do?
