Check out the X-Lab gallery from Demo Day last month. Around 70 supporters attended, 17 Spark! teams competed, and 31 mentors and partners made it happen. Various groups from Spark!\u2019s eXperience Lab (X-Lab) Practicum course and students from the Spark! Innovation Fellowship showcased their projects during Demo Day and all teams participated for prizes during the pitch session of the evening. These features will be implemented from researching proven methods to make note taking easier for those students. The open-source and free-to-use features were one of the motivations for the students who worked on this project. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Nationwide investigation of Federal Prosecutors-\u00a0<\/strong><b>BU School of Journalism<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/spark\/files\/2019\/01\/20181214_174300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"349\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2983\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/spark\/files\/2019\/01\/20181214_174300.jpg 4032w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/spark\/files\/2019\/01\/20181214_174300-636x477.jpg 636w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/spark\/files\/2019\/01\/20181214_174300-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/spark\/files\/2019\/01\/20181214_174300-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Team:\u00a0<em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bissenbay Dauletbayev (MS &#8217;19), Ibrahim Shaikh (CAS &#8217;19), Reed Callahan (CAS &#8217;19)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This team trained an algorithm to find judicial <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">appellate decisions in which a defendant alleged prosecutorial misconduct and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">determined whether the judge considered the allegation, and if so, whether the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">determination was no misconduct, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">harmless error, or misconduct.\u00a0 The students also trained the algorithm to determine the outcome.
