Undergraduate Student Barbara Zayas wins Ada Draper Award
The department’s own Barbara Zayas has won the prestigious Ada Draper award.
As described by the College of Arts & Sciences, the award is given to outstanding CAS senior woman (minimum grade point average of 3.5) to be used for traveling or studying abroad after graduation. Applicants submitted their proposals, which included a statement of purpose and budget.
Barbara will use her Ada Draper award as she collaborates with think-tank Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (Center for Investigation & Economics) in Mexico to address drug-related violence in parts of the nation.
