Examples of trauma incidents include, but are not limited to, interpersonal violence, sexual assault, stalking, and disasters.<\/p>\n<h3>Accessing the Fund<\/h3>\n<p><strong>All BU students receiving services at SARP are eligible for this funding.<\/strong> To access the fund, students can either speak with their SARP clinician or call (617) 353-7277 to get connected with our office.<\/p>\n<h3>Donating to the Fund<\/h3>\n<p>The Survivor Fund is supported solely through donation. Some examples are included below. This is by no means an all-inclusive list. You\u2019re encouraged to talk with a SARP counselor about specific needs you may have<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rideshare trips and moving expenses<\/li>\n<li>Replacement bedding and clothing<\/li>\n<li>New locks and hotel stays<\/li>\n<li>Replacements for lost\/damaged belongings<\/li>\n<li>Food and self-care<\/li>\n<li>Medical bills, medications, and more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How much money can I receive through the Survivor Fund?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nWe\u2019re currently able to offer up to $500 per student.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How is funding dispensed?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nThere are a couple of options for payment from the Survivor Fund:<\/p>\n<p>We can reimburse students for expenses related to their trauma through either a check or direct deposit. Reimbursements typically take around 3-4 weeks to process. Checks can be picked up from our office or mailed directly to the student\u2019s address.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, we may be able to cover the cost upfront using our card. Students can coordinate this with their SARP clinician and call the office to obtain the card information at the time of the purchase.
