Sexual Health Program Assistant
The Sexual Health Program Assistant will support large-scale sexual health programs, events, and outreach in the BU community.
Eligibility requirements:
Incoming or continuing student enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University.
Opportunities include:
- Support large-scale sexual health promotion events such as Sex in the Dark
- Provide ongoing administrative support for Condom Fairy
- Support new opportunities to distribute safer sex supplies and sexual health information to the BU student community
- Support the ongoing training and development of the Student Health Ambassadors’ Sexual Health Team
- Develop content around the themes of sex-positivity and sexual citizenship for Condom Fairy, Hey BU blog posts, and other channels
- Facilitate small group trainings about Student Health Services’ sexual health services and how students can support their sexual health
An ideal candidate will have:
- Passion for supporting student health
- Content knowledge around sexual health topic areas
- Strong skills in project management, communication, and collaboration
- Experience with facilitating workshops and trainings
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and problem-solve
- Experience incorporating concepts of diversity, inclusion, and social justice in health promotion
Time commitment:
- This position will be in person for 2025-2026 academic year, with potential for virtual onboarding
- Approximately 15 hours per week beginning in August 11, 2025 and ending in May 2025, with the potential to extend to the following academic year
- Required to work Friday afternoons from 2-4 PM during the academic year
- May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends
Compensation:
- Hourly rate of $17.50
- There are no tuition benefits
