He has received funding as the principal investigator numerous NIH awards including R01, U01 and P20 mechanisms during this time involving both basic and clinical research related to functional bladder conditions. In 2013, he received the Victor A. Politano Award from the American Urological Association for his research contributions in urinary incontinence.
