The deadline for applications is <\/span><b>Thursday, May 15 at 11:59 p.m.<\/b> <b>EST<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If you are interested, please see below.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEQUITUR <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">solicits interest from current HAA graduate students to serve <\/span><b>two- or one-year appointments <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on the Editorial Board of its graduate student journal. Terms of service begin on June 1st, 2025, and end on May 31st of either 2026 or 2027. Editors do not need to reside in Boston, but must be willing to Zoom into meetings.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Four positions on the Board are open for the coming year:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Three Junior Editor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> positions, with commitment to a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">two-year term.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Junior Editors are typically promoted internally to Senior Editors each year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duties include: serving as a first and second editor for 2-3 articles per issue, content- and copy-editing all accepted submissions during final review, attending all <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEQUITUR <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Editorial Board meetings, and fulfilling various administrative duties (i.e., managing the mailing list, distributing the CFP, website management, launch party planning, etc.) of the journal as needed.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>One Editorial Assistant<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> position, with commitment to a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one-year term.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">This position has been designed for a current terminal MA student in the HAA department.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duties include: editing all final copy of the twice-yearly journal, selecting articles for inclusion in the issue, assistance with editing and fact-checking as needed, and attendance at all <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEQUITUR <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Editorial Board meetings.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All members of the Editorial Board oversee the production and biannual publication of the journal, including: crafting timely calls for submissions, attending biannual content meetings, generating and adhering to production schedules, maintaining governance standards, and equitably dividing editorial duties and administrative tasks. Members of the Editorial Board must also avoid any possible conflict of interest with their duties and responsibilities as members.<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Candidates should meet the following requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">They must be currently registered graduate students in HAA at Boston University.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Strong preference will be given to those with previous experience in academic writing and editing and\/or website development. Candidates who possess broad academic backgrounds in art and architectural history are especially desired as the journal receives submissions from a variety of subfields.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">They must be able and willing to commit to the terms of their appointment (this includes summer).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The Senior Co-Editors for 2025-2026 are Isabella Dobson and Megan Horn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>To be considered, please submit:<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A 1-2 page statement of interest.
