If the supervisor is not available, the student should notify them or another person in a position of authority as soon as practicable.\u00a0<\/span><span>The supervisor should also document the incident for their own records, and notify their department\u2019s Human Resources liaison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Any delay in filing may cause the University to be fined and may jeopardize the student employee\u2019s right to receive benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Paperwork will be reviewed and processed by Occupational Health.<\/p>\n<h5>Severe Injuries<\/h5>\n<p><strong>If injury is severe first contact BUPD at 617-353-2121, who will call 911. After receiving care, students should call the new injury reporting line at 833-951-2415.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Emergency Transportation<\/h5>\n<p>If it is necessary for a student employee to be taken to the hospital, suitable transportation,\u00a0including an ambulance if necessary,<\/span><span>\u00a0should be provided and the student should be accompanied to the hospital.
