Students may not request salary advances from either Student Payroll or University Payroll.<\/p>\n<p>An advance should be requested <strong>only<\/strong> under the following circumstances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A departmental error has resulted in the student\u2019s not being paid, and they cannot wait until the next payroll period for the funds.<\/li>\n<li>An emergency has arisen, such as a death in the family, serious illness, or some other personal matter of serious financial hardship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Advances are for 65% of what the student\u2019s gross earnings should have been. The remaining 35% will pay out the following payroll \u2014 all applicable taxes will be deducted from the 35%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advances are not given for payments due in the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Submitting Requests<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>Process currently under evaluation.
