Dr. Zook Received Fulbright “Special Expert” Award Status

zookThe United States Fullbright Scholar Commission has designated Dr. Douglas Zook, School of Education biologist and science educator, a special expert on global ecology and sustainability education. This award places Dr. Zook on a select roster that can be accessed by scholars at institutions around the world whose countries seek U.S.A Fullbright-supported schoalrs.

The designation will allow Dr. Zook to be eligible for up to six weeks of periodic visits to overseas universities and public venues. He will have the ability to share and exchange important scholarly education and research work on building a healthier “fit” of humans to the earth systems that support us.

Dr. Zook previously received a six-month Fullbright Distinguished Scholar award in 2010, which resulted in extensive collaboration and presentations on Science Education and Global Ecology at Jagiellonian University in Kraków and other intellectual settings in Poland.
