Our goal is to provide the Boston University and greater Boston community a chance to explore religion and spirituality in the sacred and secular arts, including literature, music, performance and visual arts from painting and calligraphy to film.<\/p>\n<p>The program works to cultivate interdisciplinary links among Boston University departments and programs including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/religion\/\">Religion<\/a>, <a title=\"Judaic Studies\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/judaicstudies\">Jewish Studies<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/smscinst\/\">Institute for the Study of Muslim Societies and Civilizations<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/africa\/\">African Studies Center<\/a>, <a title=\"Modern Languages and Comparative Literature\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/mlcl\/\">World Languages and Literatures<\/a>, <a title=\"Romance Studies\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/rs\/\">Romance Studies<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/english\/\">English<\/a>, <a title=\"History\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/history\">History<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ah\/\">History of Art and Architecture<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sth\/\">Theology<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mission Statement The Boston University Program in Scripture and The Arts is focused on the exploration of objects and places\u00a0where the sacred\u00a0meets art and culture from secular and religious traditions across time and around the world.
