You can find <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hercampus.com\/school\/bu\/what-every-bu-girl-should-know-about-food-part-i-0\/\" rel=\"noopener\">part 1 here<\/a>, and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hercampus.com\/school\/bu\/what-every-bu-girl-should-know-about-food-part-ii-0\/\" rel=\"noopener\">part 2 here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><em>The Quad<\/em><\/h4>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/buquad.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The Quad<\/a>, an online blog about life at BU, has two pieces about the Sargent Choice Healthy Dining Program in their archive. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/buquad.com\/2011\/04\/03\/not-just-tofu-sargent-choice-makes-healthy-food-accessible\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The first<\/a> discusses Sargent Choice Night of March 2011 and its comfort food menu. Many past and current SCNC dietitians and other team members chime in. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/buquad.com\/2011\/04\/17\/eating-vegetarian-not-just-a-can-of-beans\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The second<\/a> is about an event hosted by Sargent Choice to explain the benefits of vegetarian cooking, and includes recipes for the popular Black Bean Burgers and a Quinoa side salad. SCNC dietitian Sarah Butler hosted the event and is quoted in the article.<\/p>\n<h4><em>BU Today<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Before the name was switched to the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center, it was called Sargent College&#8217;s Nutrition and Fitness Center (NFC). In 2011, <em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/today\/\" rel=\"noopener\">BU Today<\/a><\/em> wrote three articles quoting the dietitians of the NFC.<\/p>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/today\/2011\/the-buzz-around-eating-insects\/\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;The Buzz Around Eating Insects,&#8221;<\/a> SCNC\/NFC dietitian Sarah Butler weighed in on the discourse of eating insects.<\/p>\n<p>The article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/today\/2011\/personalized-fitness-advice-at-a-bargain-price\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Personalized Fitness Advice at Bargain Price&#8221;<\/a> quotes SCNC\/NFC dietitian Lisa Ferreira about setting small goals for yourself on your path to personal fitness.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/today\/2011\/love-the-body-you%E2%80%99re-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Love the Body You&#8217;re In,&#8221;<\/a> an article about improving negative body image, the NFC was referred to as a good place to start repairing body image insecurities.<\/p>\n<h4>The <em>Daily Free Press<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>In 2008 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/dailyfreepress.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">the <em>Daily Free Press<\/em><\/a> wrote <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/dailyfreepress.com\/2008\/03\/03\/students-at-bu-shed-freshman-15-myth\/\" rel=\"noopener\">an article<\/a> about the infamous myth of Freshman 15; the article quotes SCNC dietitian Sarah Butler. Three years later, with an almost completely different batch of undergrads, TDFP wrote<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/dailyfreepress.com\/2011\/11\/08\/fat-fiction-freshman-15-myth-study-says\/\" rel=\"noopener\"> a second article<\/a> about the dreaded Freshman 15, once again debunking the myth, this time quoting SCNC dietitian and director <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/scnc\/profile\/stacey-zawacki\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Stacey Zawacki<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><em><\/em><\/h4>\n<h4><em>News Medical<\/em><\/h4>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.news-medical.net\/\" rel=\"noopener\">News-medical.net<\/a> writes about the introduction of many new services to the SCNC, then called the Sargent College Nutrition and Fitness Center. As <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.news-medical.net\/news\/20090810\/Boston-University-launches-innovative-nutrition-program-for-the-students-faculty-and-staff.aspx\/\" rel=\"noopener\">the article<\/a> cites, the Nutrition Center and the Healthy Dining Program are unique to BU. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/scnc\/profile\/stacey-zawacki\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Stacey Zawacki<\/a> comments.<\/p>\n<h4>The <em>Daily Free Press<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Sarah Butler speaks to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/dailyfreepress.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">the <em>Daily Free Press<\/em><\/a> about the revamping of the Sargent Choice Menu for the 2009-10 school year. The Healthy Dining Program would start off fall with new recipes to garner interest in the program and in eating well. The article can be found <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/dailyfreepress.com\/2009\/04\/07\/sargent-choice-to-give-students-more-to-choose-from\/\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><em>BU Today<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Five articles were written from 2005 to 2008 by <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BU Today<\/a><\/em> journalists quoting dietitians from the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center&#8211;when it was called the Nutrition and Fitness Center (NFC).<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/today\/2008\/be-well-bu-a-new-approach-to-eating-disorders\/\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Be Well, BU: A New Approach to Eating Disorders&#8221;<\/a> catalogs the uphill battle of helping students with eating disorders. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/scnc\/profile\/stacey-zawacki\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Stacey Zawacki<\/a> speaks about the issue from her experience at the NFC.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Thompson (now Judd) spoke to <em>BU Today<\/em> about vitamins. She comments on what circumstances it is advisable to take vitamins.
