Lee Woodruff garnered critical acclaim for the compelling and humorous chronicle of her family\u2019s journey to recovery following her husband Bob Woodruff\u2019s roadside bomb injury in Iraq. Appearing together on national television and radio since the February 2007 publication of their book, the couple has helped put a face on the serious issue of traumatic brain injury among returning Iraq war veterans. Following Bob\u2019s injury and miraculous recovery, together they founded the Bob Woodruff Foundation, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.remind.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Remind.org<\/a> to assist wounded servicemen and their families receive the long-term care that they need and help them successfully reintegrate into their communities.\u00a0 Lee&#8217;s second book, <em>Perfectly Imperfect: A Life in Progress<\/em> is also a #1 New York Times best-seller.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Meredith E. Drench Lecture Series:<\/strong>\u00a0Dr. Meredith Drench, a Sargent PT alumna, established Sargent College\u2019s first endowed lecture series in 2009.\u00a0 The lecture series focuses on the psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Meredith E. Drench:<\/strong> Meredith E. Drench, PhD, PT, is a behavioral specialist who emphasizes communication, ethical empowerment, and collaboration. With a bachelor\u2019s degree in physical therapy from Sargent College, a master\u2019s in rehabilitation administration, and a PhD in behavioral rehabilitation, Dr. Drench is a bridge between the fields of physical rehabilitation and psychosocial behavioral sciences. Addressing sensitive issues, she involves participants and creates a supportive bridge to learning.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Drench works with companies, agencies, associations, health care facilities, and universities, emphasizing communication and collaboration. She has published numerous articles, is a contributing author of four books, and has written two books about health professionals: <em>Psychosocial Aspects of Health Care <\/em>and<em> Red Ribbons Are Not Enough.<\/em> The founding director of Adaptive Health Associates, Inc., Dr. Drench also speaks, gives training workshops and seminars, and consults on psychosocial behavior in health care. She frequently addresses American Physical Therapy Association and American Occupational Therapy Association sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Drench established the Meredith E.
