Sargent College is committed to preparing students for this <em>Interprofessional Collaborative Practice<\/em>, through its Interprofessional Education (IPE) curriculum.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Interprofessional Education occurs &#8220;when students from two or more professions learn about, from and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes&#8221; &#8211; World Health Organization, 2010.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>Our Vision<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Sargent College graduates will have the knowledge, values, and skills to implement &#8211; and the commitment to advocate for &#8211; interprofessional collaborative practice, necessary for the provision of optimal person-centered care.<\/p>\n<h2>Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p>Over three or four semesters, students in the following programs participate in Sargent&#8217;s IPE curriculum:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master of Science in Nutrition \/ Dietetic Internship<\/li>\n<li>Didactic Program in Dietetics \/ Master of Science in Nutrition \/ Dietetic Internship<\/li>\n<li>Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology<\/li>\n<li>Doctor of Occupational Therapy<\/li>\n<li>Doctor of Physical Therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students in these programs work together, learning \u2018about, from and with\u2019 each other to develop their abilities for interprofessional collaborative practice.
