Think critically, evaluate objectively.<\/h2>\n

The Senior Thesis for Distinction is an opportunity for undergraduate Sargent College seniors to complete an in-depth research experience within your major or minor field of study. Under the supervision of a faculty mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and execute a personalized research project while also collaborating in your mentor\u2019s lab or research group.<\/p>\n

Cultivate scientific curiosity.<\/h2>\n

Participation in the Senior Thesis for Distinction will provide students with a thorough understanding of the research enterprise. The experience will develop your technical writing and oral presentation skills through interactions in the laboratory, writing a final report on your project, and summarizing your research in a final poster presentation to students and faculty. And it will help prepare you for graduate school where the dedication, creativity, and independence honed during your thesis experience will be invaluable.<\/p>\n

Successful completion of the Thesis will result in the designation of “graduation with distinction” appearing on the student\u2019s diploma and transcript.<\/p>\n

The Thesis for Distinction option is available to Sargent students enrolled in the following undergraduate programs:<\/p>\n
