PhD Candidate Kimberly Dahl Awarded Communication Sciences and Disorders Scholarship

Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences PhD student Kimberly Dahl has been selected for a 2023 scholarship from the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD). This scholarship will support Dahl’s research on motor learning in articulation and prosody during speaker-listener interactions as well as the completion of her PhD program.
A doctoral research assistant in the Stepp Lab for Sensorimotor Rehabilitation Engineering, Dahl’s research focuses on voice and voice disorders. Her specific interests voice perception, voice and gender, prosody, and speech motor control.
CAPCSD scholarships support PhD students in the dissertation phase of their doctoral program who intend to pursue an academic career in communication sciences and disorders.
