BU MS + Delicious Living Nutrition DI Partnership
Program Overview
The BU MS + Delicious Living Nutrition (DLN) Dietetic Internship DI Program combines BU’s prestigious graduate degree with DLN’s innovative, nine-month, full time internship program for a seamless path to be eligible for the national RDN credentialing exam.
This partnership is one of only a few in-person MS+DI programs with a focus on Dietetics in Agriculture and Sustainable Food Systems in the nation.
Students enrolled in this program will first complete their MS in Nutrition at BU, followed by a DI at DLN from January-September. Learn more about the Delicious Living Nutrition DI.
Located on beautiful Cape Cod & the Islands in Massachusetts, DLN DI is a one-of-a kind DI that prepares interns to become dietitians capable of integrating agricultural and sustainable food systems into dietetic practice in clinical, food service, and community settings.
This unique DI encourages independent thinking, supports entrepreneurial skills, and fosters initiative, creativity, and professionalism to create leaders in the profession that seek to improve the health of individuals, families, communities, and the sustainability of food systems.
It provides hands-on experiences with agriculture and sustainable food systems. It is a small, intimate program consisting of Registered Dietitians that provides individual support, mentorship, and guidance.
During the MS+DI application process, applicants can elect to be considered for our partnership program with the Delicious Living Nutrition (DLN) Dietetic Internship (DI) on Cape Cod.
Unlike the other MS+DI partnership programs, the BU MS + DLN DI partnership has a January entry and spans 21-months, allowing enrolled students to begin their DLN DI in January following the successful completion of the MS curriculum in December. With BU faculty support, you will build your own MS concentration around five required courses (Biostatistics, Nutritional Epidemiology, Metabolic Regulation, Nutrition and Disease Prevention or Life Course Approach to Community Nutrition, Nutrition Research), in an area of your interest. Sample MS concentrations include community/public health, food policy, nutrition research, media/communications, clinical nutrition.
Please note that students are responsible for all costs associated with the Delicious Living Nutrition DI.
Applicants admitted to our MS+DI are guaranteed a merit-based scholarship.
