The Leadership Challenge with Speaker Dick Heller

The Leadership Challenge Workshop will introduce participants to an accessible and application-oriented model of leadership. Backed by over thirty years of leadership research data from over one million leaders, The Leadership Challenge Workshop is an intense and unique discovery process. The workshop is based on the book, “The Leadership Challenge” by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, now in its fifth edition.
The workshop will involve discussions and activities to delve into the behaviors that support leadership practices and consider ways to apply them in current and future settings. The content has had a long and successful history in corporate, academic, public sector, and other organizational settings. It promises to be a fun and intriguing session to develop skills for leadership and career success.

Join Garlock on September 26th at 4:00PM at EPIC for the Competition Kick-Off and Information Session! Learn more about how Garlock is using the Internet of Things to improve product performance. Teams will pick a Garlock product, learn about the product, and design a new, improved, more interactive product using embedded sensors.
- Garlock representatives will be onsite to answer your questions!
- Pizza and refreshments provided!
- All College of Engineering students are welcome!
The competition will run from September 26, 2014 through November 14, 2014.
Prizes awarded to the top three teams:
- First place – $5,000
- Second place – $2,500
- Third place – $1,000
