Qianmei Yun is an international student from China and is now a PhD candidate in the Department of Romance Studies at Boston University. Spanish Language and Literature was her major in her Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Once awarded the Bachelor’s diploma, she spent three years working in Mexico City. During this period, she was deeply captivated by Latin American culture and literature, and that\u2019s the reason why she decided to apply for a graduate program.<\/p>\n

Yun graduated from Peking University, writing her master’s thesis is about Gnosticism in the works of Jorge Luis Borges. Her research interests include Latin American modern and contemporary culture and literature since Modernismo<\/em>.
