Before moving from Puerto Rico to the state of Massachusetts, I worked for the government of Puerto Rico as an economist in the Planning Board Department. I studied for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Managerial Economics. When I moved to Massachusetts, I worked in the field of finance and accounting in different financial institutions, which I combined with the teaching of the Spanish language from 1997 to 2008. Since 2009, I have only been teaching Spanish as my main work.<\/p>\n
I earned my Master’s degree at the University of Salamanca in Spain, with a specialization in Spanish Language and Culture. I defended my dissertation on the use of the Spanish Language by non-native speakers in the United States, based on research that I did interviewing several people with different professions and different languages \u200b\u200bwho studied Spanish as a requirement for their jobs.<\/p>\n
One of my passions is to travel around the world to meet many cultures, traditions and people. To date, I have been to 27 countries. Another of my passions is the teaching of Spanish.
