She completed a BA in Hispanic Studies at the University of Puerto Rico, R\u00edo Piedras campus. Her current research focuses on contemporary Latin-American and Caribbean Literatures, 20th and 21st Century Latin-American Women Writers, along with gender studies. Additionally, she is interested in the manifestations of gothic and grotesque techniques in Contemporary Latin-American Authors&#8217; texts.
