He also teaches in Boston University\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/translation\/mfa\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MFA program in Literary Translation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. His first book was a biography and edition of the sixteenth-century poet Francisco de Figueroa and two of his most recent are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/residenciadeestudiantes.com\/api\/tienda\/producto\/bello-relampago-que-dura-moreno-villa-y-jacinta\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bello rel\u00e1mpago que dura: Moreno Villa y Jacinta<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2024) and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/distributed\/H\/bo266522638.html\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How a City Sings, From November to November: Lorca on Music <\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Spring 2026).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maurer is the editor of Garc\u00eda Lorca\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Collected-Poems-Federico-Garcia-Lorca\/dp\/0374126151\/ref=sr_1_1\/105-5065638-9380406?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1189351009&amp;sr=1-1\">Collected Poems<\/a><\/em> and <em>Selected Verse<\/em>; his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtve.es\/play\/audios\/reportajes-en-radio-5\/reportajes-radio-5-exposicion-memoria-movimiento-lorca-residencia-estudiantes-05-05-26\/17053866\/\">lectures on music<\/a>; his early prose (<em>Prosa in\u00e9dita de juventud<\/em>), and editor, with Andrew A. Anderson, of Garc\u00eda Lorca\u2019s complete letters (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.casadellibro.com\/libro-epistolario-completo\/9788437615165\/557579\"><em>Epistolario completo<\/em><\/a>). His\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books\/about\/Fortune_s_Favorite_Child.html?id=25KSkdiB_jAC\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">biography<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0of American painter and writer Walter Inglis Anderson won the 2003 Eudora Welty Award and the Non Fiction Prize of the Mississippi Academy of Arts and Letters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maurer\u2019s digital humanities project\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20170212170839\/https:\/fsgworkinprogress.com\/LorcaMap\/index.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cStreets and Dreams\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0mapped Lorca\u2019s movements in New York (1929-30) and coincided with the exhibition \u201c<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2013\/04\/16\/actualidad\/1366129219_827312.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back Tomorrow: Lorca, Poet in New York\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0at the New York Public Library, co-curated with Andr\u00e9s Soria Olmedo. In 2019, Maurer curated the exhibition and catalogue \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centrofedericogarcialorca.es\/es\/publicaciones\/catalogo-de-exposicion\/17\/jardin-deshecho-lorca-amor\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jard\u00edn deschecho:\u00a0 Lorca y el amor<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d at the Centro Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca, Granada, and in <span>2025-2026 the exhibition and catalogue <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtve.es\/play\/audios\/reportajes-en-radio-5\/reportajes-radio-5-exposicion-memoria-movimiento-lorca-residencia-estudiantes-05-05-26\/17053866\/\">Lorca y el archive: memoria en movimiento<\/a><\/em>, with Andrew A.
