The students had just recently finished watching the series, in which Riondino plays the nineteenth-century entrepreneur, Vincenzo Florio. Students prepared questions for Riondino and carried on a conversation with him about Italian cinema and television.<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Following this class visit, Riondino returned to BU on April 10 to discuss his directorial debut, <i>Palazzina LAF <\/i>(2023), about the politics of labor at the ILVA steel factory in southern Italy. The US premiere was presented by the Italian Film Festival USA in Boston, a collaboration between Boston University, Boston College, and Salem State University, and chaired by Jim Carter.
