For <em>Conex\u00f5es o Ensino de Portugue\u00eas no Estados Unidos<\/em>, a study of the reasons students in the U.S. choose to learn Portuguese, she wrote the sixth chapter, titled &#8220;Motiva\u00e7\u00e3o no aprendizado da l\u00edngua portuguesa nos Estados Unidos: Um instrumento de reflex\u00e3o curricular.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For the book <em>Designing World Language Curriculum for Intercultural Communicative Competence<\/em>, Bianconi contributed a chapter that places the recurring theme of resistance in the curriculum within the shifting presence of Capoeira as a key to understanding the cultural history of Brazil. \u201cCapoeira traveled through history until it was recognized as cultural patrimony of Brazil in 2007. Today Capoeira attracts adepts in many parts of the world.
