Their talk, entitled &#8216;Improving Presentational Writing Through Visual Tasks: Instagram Post and Concept Maps&#8217;, resulted from the work they presented at a Brown Bag seminar in the spring 2022 semester.<\/p>\n<p>Under the guidance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/rs\/profile\/kirby-chazal\/\">Kirby Chazal<\/a>, Senior Lecturer in French, Rosana and Evgeniya developed their presentation to showcase activities using a mock Instagram post and Concept Maps, putting students at the center of their learning experience and emphasizing the use of visual components to enhance students&#8217; writing.\u00a0<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rosana Hernandez and Evgeniya Prikhodko, graduate students in Hispanic Language &amp; Literatures and French Language &amp; Literature, respectively, presented their collaborative work at the annual conference of ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages), which took place in Boston, November 18-21.
