As both a scholar and practitioner, Lee finds herself uniquely positioned to \u201cengage with the authors and the time periods that [she is] working in from several vantage points.\u201d \u201cI get to read 18th and 19th century texts and also perform them, or restage them, or make new work that is related to what I\u2019ve studied,\u201d she explains. Her latest choreographic work is quite literally an embodiment of this multifaceted methodology.
