The overall coordinator,<span class=\"s1\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/rs\/profile\/laura-brusetti-mcginn\/\">Laura Brusetti McGinn<\/a><\/span>,\u00a0teaches all levels of Italian language courses as well as 313 \u201cItalian Media and Popular Culture\u201d. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/rs\/profile\/jim-carter\/\">Jim Carter<\/a>\u00a0teaches courses on Italian film and on aspects of contemporary Italian culture. <span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/rs\/profile\/rita-cote\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Rita Cot\u00e9<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0teaches LI 312 &#8220;Italian for the Professions&#8221; as well as reading, writing, and literature classes.\u00a0 Our courses in advanced language and Italian culture (Italian media, Italian film) on the Boston campus are supplemented by the curriculum of our study abroad program (CIES\/Center for Italian &amp; European Studies) in <span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/abroad\/programs\/padua-italian-and-european-studies-program\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Padova<\/span><\/a><\/span> in coordination with the Universita\u2019 degli Studi di Padova.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Overview of the Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><i data-ogsc=\"\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">All majors must take at least<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i><b data-ogsc=\"\"><i data-ogsc=\"\">10 courses above LI 211<\/i><\/b><i data-ogsc=\"\">\u00a0(LI 212 now counts as one of the 10 so 9 courses after 212). The minor requirements are being proposed as<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i><b data-ogsc=\"\"><i data-ogsc=\"\">6 courses above LI 111<\/i><\/b><i data-ogsc=\"\">(LI 212 will count as one of them, so 5 courses after 212*). The remaining 9 courses for a major and 5 courses for a minor must be LI 283 and above with many course available to take abroad in Padua, Italy.
