Director of BU Global House, Lecturer in French

Dr. Lillie Webb is the Director of BU Global House. This living-learning community, based in Myles Standish Hall, fosters immersive foreign language learning and intercultural exchange among students from across Boston University. Dr. Webb also serves as a Lecturer in French for the Department of Romance Studies. She holds a B.A. in French and English Literature from Bennington College. She earned both her M.A. and her Ph.D. in French Language & Literature from Boston University. As a graduate student, she was awarded a Certificate for Excellence in Teaching and initiated the interdisciplinary BU Romance Studies Graduate Student Conference. Her research interests include depictions of women, power, and sexuality in 19th century French literature and art; mechanisms of identity construction; and navigating intercultural frameworks.
