Lincoln Son Currie Co-Authors Article

Funded by UROP, senior and Spanish minor Lincoln Son Currie has co-authored an article with Christopher Maurer on the translation (by painter Fernando Zóbel) and American reception of one of Federico García Lorca’s favorite plays–Don Perlimplín con Belisa en su jardín. The article, for which Lincoln did research in the Schlesinger Library (Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study) and Houghton Library (Harvard University), appears in a book published by Swan Isle Press, distributed by the University of Chicago Press: Zóbel Reads Lorca: Painting, Poetry and Don Perlimplín in Love. The publication is timed to coincide with a major retrospective of the Spanish painter Fernando Zóbel opening on November 15 at the Prado, Madrid, curated by Harvard Professor Felipe Pereda, a co-author.

Lincoln will present his work at the UROP Symposium on Friday, October 21, in the GSU Metcalf Ballroom.
