RCR Advisory Committee
The RCR Advisory Committee is a diverse group focused on identifying ways in which the RCR program can effectively and creatively extend its reach and impact on both campuses.
Overview
The RCR Advisory Committee’s goal is to facilitate the development of activities that deepen trainees’ appreciation of RCR-related issues, but in a broader, contemporary societal context. The idea is that these activities will occur in parallel to the workshops and web-based learning that meet the compliance requirements of the NIH and NSF. Examples might include examining how gender inequities influence research, the role of scientists in ensuring responsible use of new technologies, and the complex factors affecting data reproducibility.
