The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a committee of scientists/doctors and non-scientists whose charge is to oversee the safety and protection of human subjects in research based on those regulations and guidelines as they apply to individual research studies. The IRB staff is a dedicated team of professionals dedicated to making the IRB process seamless and efficient.

Upon request, the IRB can provide training to your class, research staff or department. The IRB can incorporate an education session as part of a class or as part of a faculty meeting.

Post Approval Support, Study Review, and Auditing
The Quality Assurance/Improvement (QA/QI) Program is available to assist investigators with managing and organizing their research studies to ensure that they are in compliance with applicable regulations, laws and institutional policies.
Before beginning your research, we encourage you to set up an appointment with the QA/QI Specialist to help you get started off right. The QA/QI Program is also able to assist you throughout the course of your study.
