Animal Housing

Once you obtain your research animals, you’ll need to house and care for them.

Boston University has a single animal care program that shares the same policies and guidelines, veterinary oversight, and training resources as the IACUC. The Animal Science Center (ASC) is spread across both the Medical and Charles River Campuses so as to best serve each research community. Each campus has its own animal care facility. While there are many procedures and policies regarding animal care that apply to all of BU, each facility also has its own specific processes and procedures.
