Sponsored Programs and Continuous Improvement & Data Analytics (CIDA) would like to invite you to a Brainstorming Session around the creation of a new Grant Expenditure Dashboard.

This Dashboard is a tool for you, the Departmental Administrator and Principal Investigator, so we want and welcome your feedback.

The first brainstorm session is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7th from 1:00 – 2:30.  For those who are able to attend in person, the meeting location is 881 Commonwealth Avenue, 4th Floor, VPFA Conference Room.  There will also be a Zoom option.  In order to focus the discussion, we are limiting the sessions to 20 people so if you want your voice heard and are available, please email Meghan Chiasson at mchiasso@bu.edu in order to secure your spot.

These brainstorm sessions are just the beginning.  Below is a tentative timeline of the entire project so there will be other opportunities to participate.

  1. Brainstorming (December 2021 – January 2022)
    • 2- 3 white board sessions
    • Some 1-1 to walk through current process
  2. Testing (Early 2022)
    • Participate in testing surveys
    • Utilize dashboard for a couple months and provide feedback
    • Help create Standard Operating Procedures
  3. Training (Late 2022)
    • Help host training sessions with fellow DA & PIs
    • Create documentation for new-hires
    • Brainstorming (December 2022 – January 2023)
