{"id":63195,"date":"2026-05-18T13:34:23","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T17:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=63195"},"modified":"2026-05-20T15:30:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T19:30:32","slug":"celia-harrison","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/profile\/celia-harrison\/","title":{"rendered":"Celia Harrison"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Dr. Harrison joined the Office of Technology Development as Executive Director of IP and Licensing in April 2026.\u00a0 Dr. Harrison is an experienced intellectual property and licensing attorney with a strong background in biotechnology, clinical-stage therapeutics, and research commercialization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Prior to joining BU, Dr. Harrison was advising biotech startups as a consulting IP and contracts attorney, and served as a contract consulting IP and licensing specialist for Los Alamos National Laboratory.\u00a0 Dr. Harrison has served as Head of Legal for OncXerna Therapeutics, and as Senior Counsel at Seres Therapeutics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Dr. Harrison has also held academic appointments at Boston Biomedical Research Institute and Tufts University, where she used X-ray crystallography and other biophysical techniques to study protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions in a variety of biological systems, and received several NIH grants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Dr. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University, a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology, and a JD from Boston College Law School.\u00a0 Dr. Harrison is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"author":24171,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/63195"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/24171"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/63195\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":63238,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/63195\/revisions\/63238"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=63195"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
