UROP supports undergraduate students conducting research in collaboration with BU faculty mentors. Two types of stipends are available.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Student Research Award:<\/b>\u00a0Fully funded by UROP for up to five hours of research per week.<\/li>\n<li><b>Faculty Matching Grant:<\/b>\u00a0Funding shared equally between UROP and the faculty mentor for 5, 8, or 10 hours of research per week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"email-body fallback-text\"><span>Awards are paid through the Student Employment Office over a 10-week period beginning in February.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"email-body fallback-text\"><span>Faculty mentors must submit a letter of recommendation for applicants by <b>11:59 pm on Friday, December 12.<\/b>\u00a0Faculty and students are encouraged to review the <\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 120, 153)\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/urop\/get-involved\/funding-eligibility\/\" data-outlook-id=\"27855ca0-fb65-4f3d-be2c-81c58f31a3d6\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 120, 153)\" title=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/urop\/get-involved\/funding-eligibility\/\">eligibility requirements<\/a><\/u><\/span><span>\u00a0and funding descriptions before moving forward with an application.
