All users will now need to use <strong>multi-factor authentication (MFA)<\/strong> to sign in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does this mean for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to your regular username and password, you will now need a second method to confirm your identity. Here&#8217;s how to do it:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.research.gov\/research-web\/content\/rgovsignin\">sign in page<\/a> and identify your preferred MFA method. We recommend using Google Authenticator app or Okta verify.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the posted guidance (PDF or Video) to set up MFA on your account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s staying the same?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only the login process is changing.
