Addressing the challenge of <span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"outlook-search-highlight\">gun<\/span> <span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"outlook-search-highlight\">violence<\/span> requires novel research to support a new generation of policies and programs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span>This Research on Tap will highlight cutting-edge work from across BU to understand, prevent, and respond to the impacts of interpersonal <span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"outlook-search-highlight\">violence<\/span>, self-harm, and accidental injuries involving <span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"outlook-search-highlight\">gun<\/span>s. Introductory remarks will be provided by Dean and Robert A. Knox Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/profile\/sandro-galea\/\">Sandro Galea<\/a> of the BU School of Public Health. At each event, 10-12 researchers present a maximum of four slides and deliver a four-minute \u201celevator pitch\u201d of their work. Research on Tap events are open to faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students.
