Dr. Riley will explore how these public health crises have shaped future directions of NIH public health research and behavioral and social sciences research. During his 16 years at the NIH, he also served at the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the National Cancer Institute. He also holds an appointment in the School of Public Health at George Washington University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Prior to NIH, Dr. Riley served for 15 years in academic medical schools as well as six years in the private sector.
