Applicants must propose to trial new tools, resources or ways of working to do this.\u00a0 Examples could include the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Develop and test new metrics to track the impact of making a full range of research outputs open and accessible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Pilot new approaches to recognize and reward open research contributions in research assessment processes \u2013 including recruitment, promotion, tenure and funding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Test novel approaches to stimulate or nudge behavior change within or across research fields \u2013 for example, developing rewards to recognize good practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Develop and evaluate approaches to embed open research behaviors within organizations or research fields \u2013 for example, trialing novel approaches for training researchers or supporting networks of open research &#8216;champions&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/507647056\/c77e2900d9\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/vimeo.com\/507647056\/c77e2900d9&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1614095873839000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHEeKQy9App278cUMW4fSRjhEbmvw\">Informational webinar<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wellcome.org\/grant-funding\/open-research-fund-project-proposals-submitted-wellcome\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/wellcome.org\/grant-funding\/open-research-fund-project-proposals-submitted-wellcome&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1614095873839000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFxaJb5aDW8dSieBPqSleylO5m2_A\">Sample grants<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wellcome.org\/grant-funding\/schemes\/open-research-fund\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/wellcome.org\/grant-funding\/schemes\/open-research-fund&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1614095873839000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEswRs-hxeK8c7R9FraW3gyjeqKvw\">Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>FUNDING INFORMATION<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to up to \u00a3100,000 for up to two years (inclusive of 15% in indirect costs)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS<\/strong>:\u00a0These awards are open to individuals or teams of up to six members, based anywhere in the world.\u00a0 They are not available to individuals or groups whose data is already freely available.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>As there is not an institutional limit on proposals, the Office of Research will not be holding an internal selection process.
